EDUCATION IN LIBERIA

The Rotary Club for Global Action decided to make eduation a key part of our programmatic efforts and in the 2021-2022 Rotary year, we partnered with NegusWorld and the Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa - USA to provide scholarships to girls in Liberia and Western Africa.

Giving women and youth access to quality education reduces their risk of experiencing generational poverty. Through a digital concert, the Negus-Worldwide Party, we raised US$16,000 to provide scholarships, school materials and education support to young people who display academic excellence but experience financial barriers to maintaining engagement in education.
